MCP server
Connect Claude or ChatGPT to LinkedIn: the route that runs through your CRM
As of 6 October 2026, we found no MCP server or connector published by LinkedIn for Claude or ChatGPT. The Kasar route works with two links: your LinkedIn account connects to Kasar through the Chrome extension, and the assistant connects to Kasar through a custom connector. Claude then reads your LinkedIn conversations, files them in the CRM and drafts your replies, which it shows you as a preview before sending.

01What LinkedIn offers AI assistants
We went through LinkedIn’s developer documentation on 6 October 2026: it presents no MCP server, and we found no LinkedIn connector published by LinkedIn as of that date. The “LinkedIn MCP” servers going around come from third parties: self-hosted projects, automation bridges, post-publishing tools.
For a salesperson, the value is not writing a post from Claude. It is finding a conversation, knowing whether the person is already in the CRM, and replying at the right moment with the deal in mind. That is exactly what the Kasar route covers.
02Kasar route: two separate links
The first links LinkedIn to Kasar. There is no LinkedIn sign-in window: the Kasar Chrome extension reads the LinkedIn session open in your browser. The second links the assistant to Kasar, through the MCP server URL. The two are independent, and the first never happens from the chat.
- 1
Install the extension and open LinkedIn in Chrome
The Kasar extension installs from the Chrome Web Store. Sign in to linkedin.com in that same Chrome.
- 2
Connect the account from Kasar
LinkedIn tab of the inbox, or Settings, Channels, LinkedIn tile. Before you confirm, choose what enters the CRM: by default, the conversations you add and those with people who already have a record.
- 3
Add Kasar in Claude
Customize, Connectors, “Add custom connector”. Paste the URL below, save, then tick your workspaces on the Kasar authorisation page. This connection, and only this one, uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE.
- 4
Ask for the channel status
“Is my LinkedIn connected to Kasar?” The assistant reads the connection state. If it is down, it points you back to the extension.
LinkedIn comes with the Kasar Pro plan, which includes one social account of your choice, LinkedIn or WhatsApp; the Max plan includes both (see the Pricing page). While the assistant works, Kasar keeps your LinkedIn session active, as if you were in the app.
With ChatGPT
ChatGPT takes Kasar as a custom MCP app, created under Apps, Create, with the same URL and OAuth authentication. OpenAI’s help centre, checked on 6 October 2026, keeps write access for Business, Enterprise and Edu, in beta, on the web. On Pro, developer mode is read only: ChatGPT reads your LinkedIn conversations and records, and replies go out from Claude or from the Kasar inbox.

04Five prompts to work LinkedIn from Claude
- 1
“Which LinkedIn messages since Monday are still waiting for my reply?”
crm_conversations goes through your conversations; the assistant opens the latest ones and keeps those where the last message is not yours.
- 2
“Add the people who messaged me this week and are not in the CRM to the Big Data Expo list.”
For each conversation without a record, crm_sync_participant creates the contact with their LinkedIn ID, without duplicates, and adds it to the list.
- 3
“Before my call with Julie Fabre, sum up our LinkedIn messages and our emails.”
crm_find_activity pulls every channel on her record; the assistant writes a short brief.
- 4
“Tell Hugo that Wednesday’s demo is still on, and show me the message first.”
crm_send_message prepares the preview in Hugo’s conversation; the message goes out after your confirmation.
- 5
“Build an automation that sends a LinkedIn invitation to every contact added to the Webinar list.”
crm_manage_automations starts from the “member added to a list” trigger and the connection request block, dry-runs the draft and shows you the publish preview; nothing runs before you agree.
05Free to read, controlled to send
Reading a conversation changes nothing in the CRM. Adding someone to the CRM is additive: nothing is deleted. A message, though, cannot be taken back. The send tool first returns the text and the recipient with a token that lasts 5 minutes, works once and is bound to that exact text. Sending takes a second call with that token: the assistant is instructed to show you the preview and wait for your yes, and Claude or ChatGPT also ask you to approve the call, depending on your settings.
LinkedIn’s rules apply to your account whether you type yourself or go through the assistant. Kasar counts every action and stops before its own caps (by default 20 invitations a day, 80 a week, and 80 messages a day), which you can lower or raise up to a maximum set by Kasar, and the MCP server limits sends to 30 per hour per user. Keep volumes you would stand behind without an assistant.
The assistant reads everything you read, and shows you every message before sending it.
The LinkedIn MCP server page covers server-side errors and settings. For LinkedIn inside Kasar without an assistant, see the LinkedIn integration page. To see which CRMs publish an MCP server, the MCP server table.
Frequently asked questions
No. The connection happens in Kasar, through the Chrome extension, with a LinkedIn session open in Chrome. If the account is not connected, the server returns NOT_CONNECTED and the assistant tells you what to do.
The send tool replies in an existing conversation or writes to a CRM contact whose LinkedIn profile is linked. For a first approach, ask for an automation that starts with an invitation.
The Pro plan, which includes one social account of your choice, LinkedIn or WhatsApp. The Max plan includes one LinkedIn and one WhatsApp. The Free plan does not include LinkedIn messaging (see the Pricing page).
No, unless you choose so. By default, only the ones you add and those with people who already have a record are saved. That setting lives in the app, not in the assistant.
