Kasar

Kasar vs Copper

Copper lives in Gmail. Kasar goes wherever your buyers write.

Copper is the Google Workspace CRM, and it does that well. Outside Gmail the picture changes: Outlook goes through BCC, WhatsApp through a third-party app, LinkedIn message logging is announced for later and automated emails only go out from Gmail. Kasar puts email, LinkedIn and WhatsApp in one inbox and one sequence.

  • The record is edited under the profile header, and saves without a save button.
  • Three profiles ticked in the results page, imported and enriched in one go.
  • Two participants recognised in the thread, and Solvya created along with them.
  • On juridia.fr, the company record and its four contacts, without opening the CRM.
The Kasar Chrome extension, on LinkedIn, Gmail and the web: it shows a profile's CRM status, imports a selection of search results and recognises the people in a thread.

Copper, the Google Workspace CRM: and beyond it?

Not all your customers write from Gmail: the CRM has to follow them wherever they reply.

Copper knows Google inside out. Its Workspace page presents it as a "Recommended for Google Workspace" app and a Chrome Enterprise partner. Its pricing grid puts the Chrome extension and Gmail, Calendar, Contacts and Drive sync in all three plans, Zapier too. For a team that lives in Gmail, getting started is quick.

Your customers' world is bigger than Gmail. They reply on LinkedIn, follow up on WhatsApp, write from Outlook. At Copper, those channels come through BCC, a third-party app or an announced feature. At Kasar, they land in the same inbox, on the same record, and go into the same sequence. Copper lives in Gmail. Kasar goes wherever your buyers write.

Outlook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp: how does Copper attach them?

An exchange attached by hand, email by email, is an exchange that ends up missing.

For Outlook, Copper's help center suggests adding the "Copper mailbox address" in BCC on every email you want to attach. Its system requirements make Chrome the only officially supported browser. For LinkedIn, the integration page covers adding and enriching profiles from the extension, and announces message logging "in the near future". For WhatsApp, Copper points to TimelinesAI, a third-party app, on the Professional and Business plans.

Kasar syncs Gmail and Outlook alike, in real time and both ways. LinkedIn connects through the Chrome extension, which uses the session already open in your browser; WhatsApp connects by QR code as a linked device. Kasar acts on behalf of each rep, with their own session, and every conversation lands in the CRM inbox. One social account of your choice on Pro, LinkedIn and WhatsApp together on Max.

How far do Copper's automated emails go?

Follow-ups sent from a single mailbox, at fixed hours, hit a ceiling fast.

Bulk email starts on Professional and goes through Gmail. For automations, the help center separates two plans: Professional sends a single email, Business chains up to 7 emails, within a cap of 900 automated sends a day for the whole company. The FAQ adds that those emails only go out from Gmail, on weekdays, from 8 am to 6 pm.

Kasar sends its sequences from your Gmail or Outlook mailboxes, over SMTP, rotating across 5 sender addresses on Pro and 10 on Max, and warms up your outreach mailboxes too. On Max, the sequence mixes email, a LinkedIn invitation, messages and a WhatsApp follow-up. It stops when the prospect replies, and the reply is filed on their record.

What changes from one send to the next: the recipient, and the lines pulled from their record. The account itself never moves, and that is where the reply lands.

  • A campaign seen from its sender’s own mailbox, Thomas Leroy, thomas@kasar.app:
  • Sent to Claire Besson, Juridia. Personalised message, signed by the sender’s own domain. Status: sent.
  • Sent to Marc Aubert, Sereno. Same template, two personalised lines. Status: sent.
  • Sent to Sofia Nunes, Alveo. Same template, two personalised lines. Status: followed up.
  • Reply from Claire Besson, received in Thomas’s mailbox and attached to her record.

Can you shape Copper around your business?

A CRM with fixed record types makes you bend your business to its vocabulary.

Copper works with fixed record types: leads, people, companies, opportunities, tasks and projects. Its help center lets you rename them. We found no custom objects on its pages as of October 16, 2026. On the AI side, its MCP page announces a beta for November 2026, with Claude only.

Kasar builds your own objects, with their fields and relationships: 2 on Free, 5 on Pro, no cap on Max. A machine fleet, a maintenance contract or a client file becomes an object with its own views, pipelines and automations. Kasar's MCP server is already here, on every plan: 42 tools, read and write, for Claude and ChatGPT alike.

How do you move from Copper to Kasar?

Switching tools only pays off if your data follows you, without a week of re-entry.

Copper's export arrives by email, as a link to an Excel file. Activities need a request to support for a one-time export. Allow for that delay in your switch-over plan.

Kasar imports that Excel file, or a CSV, on every plan. Leo maps the columns to your fields without using credits, and the free import file cleaner splits names and normalizes phone numbers before the import. Then you connect your Gmail or Outlook mailboxes and your Google Calendar. See everything Kasar does.

What does a team of eight cost over a year?

A per-seat price means nothing until you compare plans that do the same job. Here is the total for a typical team, assumptions included.

How we calculated it

Assumptions: eight seats, annual billing, public prices checked on October 16, 2026. Copper shows its prices in dollars, Kasar in euros: we do not convert them.

Copper Professional, the first plan with bulk email and automations: 8 × $59 × 12 = $5,664, for 15,000 contacts at most. Copper Business, which opens 7-email series and unlimited contacts: 8 × $99 × 12 = $9,504.

Kasar Pro: 8 × €49 × 12 = €4,704, with unlimited records, email sequences, 5 custom objects and one LinkedIn or WhatsApp account of your choice. Kasar Max: 8 × €99 × 12 = €9,504, with both accounts and sequences on three channels. Copper's third-party WhatsApp app is not in its totals: its price is not on the pages we checked. Run your own numbers in the simulator on the pricing page.

For an SMB changing tools, the 30-day CRM foundations guide sets the order of the switch.
