Kasar

Kasar vs folk

folk remembers your contacts. Kasar follows up with them.

folk is good at capturing a network: unlimited contacts, LinkedIn profiles in one click, WhatsApp synced. But its sequences go out through a domain authenticated with its sending provider, replies land outside folk, and every LinkedIn thread has to be logged by hand. Kasar follows up from your own mailboxes, by email, LinkedIn and WhatsApp, and files the reply on the record.

folk and Kasar: two CRMs for relationship selling?

Two tools that capture the same network are not told apart by the capture, but by what happens next.

folk has real strengths. Its pricing grid gives unlimited contacts from Standard, its folkX extension captures a LinkedIn or Sales Navigator profile in one click, WhatsApp syncs by QR code and its MCP server comes with every plan. For keeping a network up to date, it does the job well.

The difference plays out after the capture. At folk, a sequence goes out through a domain authenticated with its sending provider, the replies land outside folk, and LinkedIn messages are logged one thread at a time. At Kasar, the follow-up goes out from your own mailboxes, the reply comes back to the record, and LinkedIn lives in the inbox. folk remembers your contacts. Kasar follows up with them.

Where does a sequence reply end up?

A reply that never reaches the CRM is a follow-up nobody sees and a deal that does not move.

According to folk's help center, sequences are for the Premium and Enterprise plans, have 10 steps at most and require a "Custom Sender": an authenticated domain whose sending goes through SendGrid, folk's email provider (Custom Sender setup). The same page states that replies land in the external mailbox tied to the domain and do not appear in the folk messaging inbox. Sending from Gmail exists too, but without sequences.

At Kasar, the sequence goes out from your own Gmail or Outlook mailboxes, over SMTP, rotating across 5 sender addresses on Pro and 10 on Max. Kasar also warms up your outreach mailboxes. The prospect's reply ends the sequence and lands in the CRM inbox, on their record, where an automation can create the next task. Nothing gets lost between two tools.

What changes from one send to the next: the recipient, and the lines pulled from their record. The account itself never moves, and that is where the reply lands.

  • A campaign seen from its sender’s own mailbox, Thomas Leroy, thomas@kasar.app:
  • Sent to Claire Besson, Juridia. Personalised message, signed by the sender’s own domain. Status: sent.
  • Sent to Marc Aubert, Sereno. Same template, two personalised lines. Status: sent.
  • Sent to Sofia Nunes, Alveo. Same template, two personalised lines. Status: followed up.
  • Reply from Claire Besson, received in Thomas’s mailbox and attached to her record.

LinkedIn and WhatsApp: captured, or actually in conversation?

Your buyers reply on LinkedIn and WhatsApp: every thread logged by hand is a thread that ends up missing.

folkX, folk's Chrome extension, adds a LinkedIn profile, or up to 10 Sales Navigator profiles at once. For messages, its help center describes logging thread by thread: open the conversation, click the folkX button, save the exchange. WhatsApp syncs by QR code, in real time, for one-to-one chats and 12 months of history. On Standard, connecting WhatsApp means you cannot connect an email account at the same time.

Kasar reads and writes on both. The Chrome extension uses the LinkedIn session already open in your browser and brings your conversations into the CRM inbox, with no click per thread. WhatsApp connects by QR code as a linked device. You reply from the record, with your own account. Pro opens one account of your choice on top of two email mailboxes per person. Max opens LinkedIn and WhatsApp together, and brings them into sequences: invitation, messages, follow-ups.

The record is edited under the profile header, and saves without a save button.

  • The same Kasar panel, on four different pages:
  • The record is edited under the profile header, and saves without a save button.
  • Three profiles ticked in the results page, imported and enriched in one go.
  • Two participants recognised in the thread, and Solvya created along with them.
  • On juridia.fr, the company record and its four contacts, without opening the CRM.

What does it take to structure your deals?

A CRM that only knows contacts makes you track your deals somewhere else, in a spreadsheet.

folk's pricing grid keeps "Custom Objects" and "Deals" for the Premium plan, along with sequences, dashboards and API access. On Standard, at €22 per member billed annually, you work with people, companies, groups and pipelines.

Kasar opens 2 custom objects from Free and 5 on Pro, with unlimited fields, pipelines and automations on each one. Your projects, contracts or properties live in the CRM with the same views and the same rules as your contacts. Your AI assistant reads and updates them through the MCP server and its 42 tools.

How do you move from folk to Kasar?

Switching tools only pays off if your data follows you, without a week of re-entry.

folk's help center describes a CSV export per group or per view. There is no export of the whole workspace, and neither interactions nor reminders come out. Plan for one file per group.

Kasar imports each CSV or Excel file on every plan. Leo maps the columns to your fields without using credits, and from Pro, duplicates are caught at import. If your groups mix formats, the free import file cleaner prepares the file inside your browser. Then you connect your Gmail or Outlook mailboxes, and new exchanges are filed on the records. What does a team of eight cost over a year?

A per-seat price means nothing until you compare plans that do the same job. Here is the total for a typical team, assumptions included.

How we calculated it

Assumptions: eight seats, annual billing, public prices checked on October 16, 2026, no extra credits. We compare Kasar Pro with folk Premium, the first folk plan that opens sequences and custom objects.

folk Premium: 8 × €43 × 12 = €4,128. Kasar Pro: 8 × €49 × 12 = €4,704. All in, Kasar Pro costs €576 more a year, or €6 per seat per month. On monthly billing, the seat goes to €54 at folk and €59 at Kasar.

That price buys sequences that go out from your mailboxes with replies coming back to the CRM, one LinkedIn or WhatsApp account in the inbox, 5 custom objects and 20 automations. Kasar Max, at €99 per seat, adds both accounts together and sequences on three channels. Run your own numbers in the simulator on the pricing page.

No, according to folk's help center as of October 16, 2026: they land in the external mailbox tied to the sending domain and do not appear in its messaging inbox. At Kasar, the sequence goes out from your mailboxes and the reply lands in the CRM inbox, on the prospect's record.

Its pricing grid as of October 16, 2026 shows three paid plans, Standard, Premium and Enterprise, and a 14-day trial. Its help center says the account is blocked at the end of the trial without a paid plan. Kasar has a Free plan, up to two seats, with no credit card.

With the same move: a QR code, and your WhatsApp becomes a linked device. In Kasar, conversations land in the inbox next to email, you reply from the CRM, and the Max plan adds WhatsApp sequences.
