The connection will be made through server and credentials, without going through a third-party provider. History will flow in as on the other mailboxes, and the inbound filter will apply the same way.

What already exists instead
If your mail is relayed by Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, even under your own domain name, it is already covered today. That is the case for most teams who believe they are on IMAP.
